Auriga Butterflyfish (Chaetodon auriga)
The Auriga butterflyfish (Chaetodon auriga), also called the threadfin butterflyfish, is a beautiful white and yellow fish identified by a characteristic eye-spot near the tail and raccoon-stripe across the eyes. This peaceful fish is found along inner and outer reef slopes in the tropical waters of the the South Pacific. The Auriga butterflyfish, which grows to around four-and-a-half inches long, is easily spooked and requires several hiding places within the aquarium. Feed the Auriga butterflyfish a diet of plankton and flake food.
Green Chromis (Chromis viridis)
The green chromis (Chromis viridis), also called the blue-green chromis, is a fish that will add brilliant color to your aquarium. Common amongst aquariusts of all experience levels, the green chromis is identifiable by it's shimmering blue dorsal side and green belly. This fish is peaceful with other species and grows to about three inches long. The green chromis should be fed a combination of meat-based foods and flakes.
Clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris)
The clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris) also is known as the black and white ocellaris clownfish and anenomefish. This species, made famous by the movie "Finding Nemo," lives symbiotically with some sea anemones. Clownfish are easy to maintain individually or in groups and can be bred in captivity. Clownfish are omnivores that will eat a variety of foods, such as flakes and zooplankton.
Carpenter's Wrasse (Paracheilinus carpenteri)
The carpenter's wrasse (Paracheilinus carpenteri), also called the flasher wrasse or carpenter's flasher wrasse, is a peaceful fish that grows to about three inches in length. Juveniles are orange with blue vertical stripes, whereas adults are yellow with horizontal blue stripes. Males, whose vibrant color intensifies during mating, are identifiable by large dorsal and anal fins. Feed your carpenter's wrasse a diet of shrimp and frozen foods.
