Things You'll Need
Instructions
Lay out the parts of your Octopus BH-100.
Pull off the side cover of the skimmer's pump assembly. Attach the air intake device to the nub sticking from the side of the pump, then press one end of your bendable air hose onto the air intake nozzle, also called a venturi.
Slide the other end of your air hose through the holder on the body of the skimmer and attach the silencer cap firmly to the end of the air hose.
Screw on the bottom of the water inlet tube to the pump's top connector, making sure one of the skimmer's two o-rings complements this seal.
Set the collection cup with top cover onto the skimmer body, tightening the black, connecting screw so the cup rests about halfway into the skimmer compartment.
Slide the holder downward and set the skimmer body onto the side of your tank. Adjust the two bottom screws to ensure the skimmer is level.
Fill your Octopus BH-100 with saltwater already in your aquarium, once it's level. The optimum water level is at the uppermost reaches of the chamber's inside elbows.
Plug your pump into outlet power.
