Things You'll Need
Instructions
Traverse as many of the beaches of Okinawa as you can. There are so many beaches in Okinawa, so you probably won't be able to see them all during one trip.
Look in the ocean and the sand. The waters around Okinawa's beaches tend to be shallow for quite some distance, so you should be able to find some lovely shells as you wade along.
Wrap individual shells in strips of cloth or other small pieces of fabric to protect them before you put them into your bag.
Lay all of your shells out on a flat surface when you get back to your hotel or beach house or when you get back home. Utilize a website, such as topseashells.com, to enter information about each shell, such as the color, shape and size, so you can identify each shell.
Use a pen and sticky notes to label each of your shells. Arrange the shells in your collection. Arrangement can include groups of types of shells, color of shells or size of shells.
