      Place a water filter into the water and secure it to the inside of the tank using suction cups. The filter must be placed fully below the water line to ensure that it is functioning properly. The filter must be removed and cleaned with the tank water at least every one to two weeks.

      A decorative seabed and plant life will make your aquarium vibrant.

      Place the thermometer into the water to monitor the water temperature. Desirable water temperature will vary depending on the species of marine life that you place in the aquarium.

      Check the pH and alkalinity levels of the water using a water test kit. Ensure that they are at safe levels before placing your marine life.
