Things You'll Need
Instructions
Fill the bottom of the aquarium with decorative rocks and/or plant life of your choice to simulate a marine environment.
Fill the aquarium with salt water.
Place a water filter into the water and secure it to the inside of the tank using suction cups. The filter must be placed fully below the water line to ensure that it is functioning properly. The filter must be removed and cleaned with the tank water at least every one to two weeks.
Place the thermometer into the water to monitor the water temperature. Desirable water temperature will vary depending on the species of marine life that you place in the aquarium.
Check the pH and alkalinity levels of the water using a water test kit. Ensure that they are at safe levels before placing your marine life.
Place your chosen marine life into their new habitat slowly and carefully, allowing them time to adjust to their new environment.
