How to Move a Deer Stand With a Tractor

Hunting is a popular activity in the U.S. Deer hunting, especially, has become a multimillion-dollar industry. As the years have progressed, hunters have become more cunning with how they stalk their prey. Deer stands have become almost essential to deer hunting. Hunters set up a wide variety of stands, some high in trees and others in bushes or blinds at ground level. The idea of the stand is to conceal as much of the hunter as possible. Relocating a stand can be a tricky process but is doable with the assistance of a tractor.

Instructions

    • 1

Lay the deer stand on it's side. Depending on what size of deer stand your dealing with, you may need a few helping hands to manage this.

    • 2

Hook a chain to the tractor. Connect one side of the chain to your tractor's towing hitch.

    • 3

Loop the chain through some boards on the bottom foundation of the stand. To reduce structure strain, it would probably be best to loop the chain through just the side that is on the ground.

    • 4

Pull the stand. Keep your tractor in a low gear and drag the stand to your desired location.
