Things You'll Need
Instructions
Fill the 50-gallon container with hot water. You can add a cup of lime to the water if you please. Add the rosin to the water. The rosin will help the hog's hair grip and will avoid slippery conditions later on.
Place the hog into the container head first. Spin the hog around in the water and dip it in and out of the water. Pull the hog out of the water and use a hook to remove the toe nails and claws from the hog. Pull and twist the hog's legs to remove hair.
Remove the hog from the container. Use the knife to remove hair from the difficult areas such as the head and feet. Afterwards, remove the hair from easier areas such as the sides and back. Perform the entire operation quickly as the hog will cool off and become more difficult to scrape.
