Instructions
Mount the thermometer in a shaded, sheltered location. Ideally on the north-facing wall of a building under the eaves of the roof. This will prevent sun or precipitation from affecting the temperature reading. Do not place the thermometer under trees as they will affect the reading. (reference 1) You can mount your hygrometer next to your thermometer.
Set your rain gauge on a post about two feet tall. The location should have nothing overhead and the post must be level. Ideally this will be out of the way of typical back yard activity. (reference 1)
Install your anemometer at a height of approximately 33 feet (10 meters) which would put it on the ridge of many roofs. Make sure that there are no obstructions that would block the wind.
Locate your receiver within transmission range of all your senors. Weather stations will come with a transmission distance rating so you can check your distances prior to installation.
