Display Tank
A tank that is ready to be turned into a Nano Tank needs to hold at least 20 gallons of water. The tank tends to be a 'drilled' tank, with holes in the bottom allowing the water to drain into a sump. This controls how much water goes into and out of the aquarium.
Filtration
The filtration in a Nano Tank usually comes from live or aqua-cultured rock. This is created to closely mimic the natural elements and create a good environment.
Water Movement
Water movement in a Nano Tank is important. Different types of coral and fish require different water movement. This is generally implemented with a mechanical device that can control the water to better match the natural cycles of the earth.
