Things You'll Need
Instructions
Take apart the frame. If you need to repaint or want to decorate the frame, do so now and let dry thoroughly while working on the mounting board.
Remove the cardboard backing and measure a piece of batting to fit it using chalk. Cut out the batting and glue it on the cardboard using fabric glue.
Choose fabric to go inside the frame. Velvet works well in this scenario because it adds interest and drama to a simple, and possibly rather small, artifact. Measure the fabric against the batting and cardboard using chalk. Cut out the necessary fabric.
Glue the fabric onto the batting with fabric glue. Lay the covered board face-up on your work table and move the tooth in various positions; when you find the perfect spot, mark it lightly with chalk.
Pierce the mark you made with a needle so there's a hole for the wire to go through. Use a very sharp needle or other object so the fabric doesn't rip.
Wrap the wire around the base of the tooth twice in a figure-eight shape. Leave about 4 inches of wire left over.
Place the tooth where you want to mount it and feed the wire through the hole until the tooth is flush with the board. Turn over your board carefully while holding the wire. Twist the wire so the tooth is held firmly in place.
