Put on your gloves. Trim the nails of the foot and then wash the foot in warm soapy water. Rinse it thoroughly and remove any excess water.
Place the foot (or feet) into the jar and fill jar with the alcohol, making sure the foot is completely covered. Place the lid on the jar and leave it for 48 hours.
Put on your gloves. Remove the foot from the jar after 48 hours and remove all the excess alcohol. Mix together one cup of borax and one gallon of water, then thoroughly wash the rabbit's foot in the mixture. Rinse thoroughly and place on a towel to dry. Once dry, your rabbit's foot is fully preserved.
