Things You'll Need
Instructions
Print a copy of your natal chart, which includes degrees for each planet. For example, your chart might indicate that your moon is in 25 degrees Taurus. To obtain a natal chart, use an astrology book that indicates the degrees for each planet at the time of your birth or use an online natal chart service, such as Astrolabe, Chaos Astrology or Astro.com. In addition, you could use a chart prepared by a master astrologer.
Create a grid with four columns and ten rows, using your ruler. Above each column, write the following headings: Planet, Sign, Degrees and Sabian Symbol.
Write each planet in the planet column, each corresponding sign in the sign column and each degree in the degree column. For example, if your natal chart says, "Moon in Taurus, 25 degrees" or "Moon in 25 degrees Taurus," write "moon" in the planet column, "Taurus" in the sign column and "25 degrees" in the degree column. For each planet, the degree won't exceed 30 degrees.
Find the corresponding Sabian symbol for each degree measurement, using your list of Sabian symbols. For example, a moon in 25 degrees Taurus matches to the Sabian symbol "a vast public park," according to Cafe Astrology.
Meditate on the correlation between the Sabian symbol and the nature of the corresponding planet. For example, the moon indicates the inner personality (emotions and hidden desires). Combining this with "a vast public park" might indicate a person whose emotions are open and accessible, but disjointed and pliant, changing for each person he meets. The planets possess the following correlations, according to Lilith, a University of Texas website: the sun correlates with the life force; the moon with emotions; Mercury with intelligence; Venus with the romantic nature; Mars with activity and energy; Jupiter with expansion; Saturn with limits; Uranus with individuality; Neptune with hidden spirituality and prophecies; and Pluto with deep transformations.
