How to Find Your Zodiac Year

You may be an Aquarius, Taurus or Capricorn according to the western zodiac, but you may be an ox, rat or tiger according to the Chinese zodiac. Both are similar in that each has 12 signs, each lists personality traits and each gives a symbol that people can identify with. However, the Chinese zodiac determines what animal you are, based upon the year you were born. The Chinese zodiac also gives each animal a sub genre called an element.

Instructions

Enter your birth year, month and date into the calculator on the Web page in the first Resource. For example, if you were born on May 27, 1986, pull down the Year drop box to 1986, pull down the Month drop box to 5 and pull down the Day drop box to 27.

Click "Find My Sign" to bring up a new window and your result. It will say "Your Chinese Zodiac sign is (Animal Name)."
