Code of Ethics
The FAA's code of ethics represents various aspects of the astrological profession including authenticity, client protection, confidentiality, professionalism, astrologer-client relationships, member relationships, predictive work and publicity. Membership in the FAA is contingent upon the member's willingness to abide by the organization's code of ethics.
Confidentiality
Astrologers who are members of the FAA are bound under the organization's code of ethics to keep all contact with a client confidential. Exceptions to this ethic include if the confidentiality endangers another individual or is in violation of established laws.
Authenticity
The FAA's code of ethics further requires members to accurately inform the public about astrology and, when acting in their astrological capacity, to conduct themselves in a manner that brings respect and integrity to the profession. If a member's behavior is brought into question, the organization's National Council becomes involved and investigates the situation.
