Sun Signs of the Zodiac

Formerly referred to as star signs, sun signs refer to the sign of the zodiac that the sun was in at the time of your birth. Astrology teaches that each sun sign comes with specific personality traits which help to shape who you are, and help direct who you will be in the future.

Earth Signs
- Virgo (August 23-September 22)
  Capricorn (December 22-January 19)
  Taurus (April 20-May 20)
  
  As implied by the name, earth signs are grounded, practical and cautious. They enjoy building solid foundations and are not prone to taking big risks.
Air Signs
- Libra (September 23-October 22)

  Gemini (May 21-June 20)
  
  Air signs are all about communication and intellectual thinking. Alert and perceptive, these individuals are able to see all sides of a situation fairly.
Fire Signs
- Aries (March 21-April 19)
  Leo (July 23-August 22)
  Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)
  
  Fire Signs are known to be creative and strong-willed. Often self-sufficient, fire signs enjoy being the leader. Passionate and driven for success, fire signs are prone to expressing spontaneous bursts of anger.
Water Signs
- Cancer (June 21-July 22)
  Scorpio (October 23-November 21)
  Pieces (February 19-March 20)
  
  Water signs tend to be sensitive and emotionally intense. They are often deep and nurturing individuals who base their actions on feelings instead of solely relying on intellect.
On the Cusp
- If someone is born near the beginning or the ending date of their sun sign, this is referred to as being on a cusp. Those who are born on the cusp may share characteristics of two sun signs combined.
