How to Track the Space Station Over Hawaii

If you are in Hawaii, look up into the night sky and you might see more than stars. The International Space Station passes over the islands on a regular basis and can be seen by the naked eye. You will see the station as a single point of white light moving across the night sky. It is visible from Hawaii on a regular basis and is easy to track on the Internet.

      Navigate your Web browser to NASA's website (nasa.gov).

      Select the "Shuttle &Station" box along the right side of the page.

      Click the "Sightings Page" link under the "See the Station in the Sky" heading on the right side of the page. A new window will pop up.

      Click the "Go to Country" button. The United States is preselected.

      Click "Hawaii."

      Select the location in Hawaii from where you will be viewing the space station. The screen will display the time the space station will be visible from various elevations, as well as the duration of the viewing opportunity. The International Space Station is abbreviated as "ISS" on this screen.
