List of Satellites in Geostationary Orbit

A geostationary satellite is a small unmanned spacecraft that maintains a fixed position over the equator, usually in order to facilitate communications or weather monitoring. The orbital positions of geostationary satellites range across the Eastern and Western hemispheres, with the bearing expressed in degrees of east or west longitude. For example, the satellite Astra 1D orbits at 2 degrees east longitude in the Eastern Hemisphere.
