How to Use a Meade ETX 105 With a Digital Camera

T-adapters give telescopes the ability to support cameras -- the connected camera can be used to take photographs through the lenses of the telescope. You can attach a 35mm camera to most T-adapters, using a T-mount adapter to attach the camera and T-adapter. And if you'd like to take photographs through your Meade ETX 105, Meade's@T-Adapter and a universal T-mount can help you do just that.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn down the telescope's flip mirror, using the "flip mirror controls" near the photo port at the rear. Remove the cover from the photo port.

    • 2

Combine the short and long pieces of the T-adapter -- screw the long adapter section into the rear of the short section.

    • 3

Screw the T-adapter combination onto the photo port at the rear of the telescope -- use the short side of the adapter -- and then screw the T-mount onto the end of the T-adapter.

    • 4

Remove the lens from your camera and replace it with a compatible T-mount. Screw the T-mount onto the T-adapter.
