Things You'll Need
Instructions
Extend the three legs on the aluminum tripod to an equal height. Tighten the locking screws on each leg. Stand the tripod upright on a level surface.
Attach the telescope tube to the tripod. Insert the telescope's mounting bracket into the tripod mount and tighten the restraining knobs to secure it in place.
Insert the 25mm eyepiece into the focuser. Tighten the restraining screw to hold the eyepiece in place.
Aim the telescope at an astronomical target. A 60mm scope works best with bright objects such as the moon, planets and stars. Observing fainter objects, such as galaxies and nebula, requires dark skies and detailed star charts.
Look through the finder scope. Move the telescope tube up or down and left or right to center the object in the finder scope.
Look through the 25mm eyepiece and turn the focuser knob to sharpen the image.
Remove the 25mm eyepiece and insert the 12.5mm or 4mm eyepiece to increase the magnification. You also can use an eyepiece in combination with the 3x Barlow lens to triple its magnifying power.
