How To Change the LX200 Button Battery

The Meade LX200 telescope offers electronic controls to aid in your observation of the night sky. A power panel stores coordinates and accepts information sent to the telescope by a remote key pad. Inside the power panel resides a small "button" battery that provides memory backup when the telescope sits idle. In time, the battery will fail and you will need to change it to avoid losing information stored in the power panel.
