How to Refill Antworks Gel

Empty the used AntWorks gel from the AntWorks container into a garbage bag. Wipe off any gel remaining inside the container with paper towels, and discard.

Rinse any remaining gel from the empty container in a sink with warm water, then dry thoroughly with a paper towel and set aside.

Add 1.5 cups of distilled water to the gel powder into a microwave-safe baking dish, then stir one test tube of powdered ant gel into the water. Continue mixing the water and ant gel powder with a spoon for 15 seconds.

Place the mixture into a microwave oven and cook for one minute, then remove the baking dish using oven mitts and stir the mixture with the spoon for 15 seconds.

Place the mixture back into the microwave using oven mitts and cook for two more minutes, or until the mixture boils for 30 seconds.

Remove the hot baking dish from the microwave using oven mitts and allow to sit for one minute. Stir for another 15 seconds. Set the ant gel mixture aside to cool uncovered for at least 24 hours.

Scoop the cooled ant gel mixture into the cleaned AntWorks container using a spoon, being careful to spread the mixture evenly. Clean off any excess gel on the inside of the container with a paper towel and discard.

Add new ants to the fresh ant gel, according to the original instructions included with the AntWorks habitat.
