For those hoping to be accepted to U of I a score higher than 27 on the ACT is a must. Additionally, 4 years of high school science and math as well as any extracurricular activities are highly recommended.

• University of California Berkeley has a well deserved reputation as one of the best U.S. schools. In 2010, the environmental engineering program at Berkeley was ranked #2 in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. Applicants to UC Berkeley should have an SAT score over 1300 and a GPA of 3.75 or better.
