Instructions
Use a saw to cut pieces of wood into four 12-inch lengths, two 3-inch lengths and one 2-foot length.
Place two of the foot-long pieces of wood on a table, parallel to one another, making up the side of a square. Place the remaining two foot-long pieces of wood on the top and bottom of the parallel strips, creating a square. Gently lift each corner piece and apply glue. Glue one of the 3-inch lengths in one corner of the square, carefully glue the other 3-inch length on the other side of the square, so the two pieces create a hiding space for the spider. Clean up any glue that spills out the sides and place a book on top of the glued pieces to ensure that the wood bonds together. Let dry overnight.
Search for the perfect location for the spider house. Find a location that is semi-sheltered from wind and rain.
Glue the spider house to top of a 2-foot wood section or tie string/twine to one corner of the spider house. Insert the wood section into the ground or hang the spider house from a tree limb or the roof.
Wait a few days before observing the spider house. For a spectacular view of the web, check the house early in the morning. The web may still glisten from morning dew and should still be intact. Once the spider finds the spider house, it will build a new web every night.
