Instructions

    • 1

Rinse the juice bottle out well and make sure all soap is removed. You can run it through a dishwasher if you want.

    • 2

Remove all labels from the outside of the bottle. The dishwasher can help you do this.

    • 3

Put a few bits of grass, bark and twigs into the juice bottle.

    • 4

Add a few bits of leftover food, dog food or something sweet.

    • 5

Turn the bottle onto its side and lay it into the grass or into the garden. Don't leave the top on the juice bottle.

    • 6

Place a little ramp, if you want, leading up to the opening of the juice bottle. Almost anything will work, including a piece of a plastic, a straw or a Lego brick.

    • 7

Leave the juice bottle alone. Depending on your child, your child can watch to see how long it takes for insects to appear, or you can find another activity for your child to do for an hour or two.
