MOD Mark 5 Texas Instrument Weather Station Instructions

Texas Instruments, known for its scientific calculators, also produces a line of electronic weather monitoring equipment. To get the most from these sophisticated machines, you must first install and calibrate the weather instrument software on your home PC. Once done, the Texas Instrument Weather Station shares the information it receives with the PC, allowing you real-time monitoring of the elements.

  Close out all programs on the computer, open the CD casing and insert the Texas Instruments Weather View 32 disc into the drive. Click "Next" when the install screen appears.

  Accept the licensing agreement, click "Next" and wait for the installation to take place. Click "Finish" when done.

  Open the Weather View 32 by double-clicking the icon. Enter the serial number of the unit found on the base of the weather station. Scroll to the C:/Program Files/Weather View 32 600 folder in your PC's software folders. Open the file.

  Click "Setup" and follow the data box prompts. Enter your latitude and longitude, city, state, elevation above or below sea level, and station ID numbers.

  Click "Climate" and choose the city nearest you from the database. Go back to "Setup" and select Weather View Properties. Customize your weather observations and reports in the data box.

  Scroll to the "Connection Tab." Select the "Detect Weather Station Baud Rate and Com Port Number bar."

  Plug the weather station cord into the PC's USB hub. Go to the desktop, and scroll to the listed Com ports. Select the Weather View.

  Scroll to the "Monitor Weather" box, and open it. The Weather View is now synced and ready for use with the PC.
