Things You'll Need
Instructions
Attach two nylon tees onto the end of one of the 12-inch tubes. This will form the top of the backpack frame.
Slide the two, 24-inch tubes into the nylon tees. These two tubes will form the sides of the back pack frame. Ensure that the tubes are firmly inserted into the tees.
Attach the last two nylon tees to the bottom of the 24-inch tube. Insert the last 12-inch tube into the side of these two nylon tees to complete the foundation of the backpack frame.
Attach the belt to the bottom nylon tees with fabric glue. Allow for one to two hours for the glue to dry. Test the belt by closing it around your waist to ensure that it does not seperate from the frame when in use.
Tie two sections of rope to the top 12-inch tube to create shoulder straps for your new backpack frame. Tie the straps to the bottom tube on the frame. Slide your arms into place to ensure that both straps fit over your shoulders and are snug during movement. Cover the rope with fabric for additional comfort and support.
Place your bags inside the frame and tie them into place using additional rope. Ensure that the bags are securely tied into place. Test out the frame by placing it on your back. The bags should not shift during movement. Adjust the bags for comfort and use additional rope if needed.
