Sports
You don't have to be in a professional sports league to enjoy outdoor games like soccer, volleyball, baseball, tennis, running or yoga. Arrange a group scrimmage or an outdoor hiking adventure with your family or friends. Even indoor sports, like ice hockey, can be taken to a grassy field and played on land. Take a picnic dinner to enjoy during breaks or have everyone head to a local park for some post-game refreshments.
Gardening
Gardening is an easy activity to do when it's sunny outside. Even if you don't have a big area to work with, you can do a lot with a small patch of land. Pull up old weeds with a shovel, till the soil and plants some flowers or herbs. If you don't have a yard, buy some pots and fill them with flowers, herbs or small trees. Set them on your front porch or patio.
Parties
When it's sunny outside, you can also throw a backyard barbecue or pool party. Round up a group of friends and family and ask everyone to bring a food or drink item. Put on some music, mix some drinks and play cards or board games on a picnic or patio table. You can also lay out blankets for people to lay on and enjoy the sun. If you don't have a lot of room at your house, arrange to have a picnic or party in the park.
Exploring
Sunny days are also great for exploring new towns or cities. Head to a place you've never been before and walk around. Visit shops, restaurants or other local attractions. Ask local people what fun things there are to do outdoors. If you can't visit a new place, just hop in the car and take a long day drive with the windows down. Bring a picnic lunch and stop somewhere scenic to eat and rest in the sun.
