Speed
One major benefit of a bass boat is the incredible amount of speed and power it offers. These boats are able to cover large areas of space in short amounts of time. Most bass boats have motors that produce between 25 to 250 horsepower. Most tournament fishermen purchase bass boats with larger engines in order to gain the speed to cover more territory in less time.
Fuel Efficiency
Fuel efficiency is an important component in a boat. Bass boats are very fuel efficient, which is cost-effective for the boat owner but also minimizes the chances of running out of fuel in the middle of the water. Aluminum bass boats are lighter than fiberglass ones, giving better fuel efficiency; however fiberglass boats offer benefits in speed, size and handling.
Low Noise
Most fishermen appreciate having a quiet boat. Bass boats are generally very quiet; which helps prevent scaring away the fish. The quietness of the boat also makes fishing experiences more pleasurable for most because there is no loud distracting noise coming from the boat.
Accessories
One benefit of bass boats is the many accessories they come with. Many have swivel chairs, which make fishing in different directions easier. Another beneficial accessory is the livewell that is a main component in many bass boats. Most bass boats come with either one or two livewells. Livewells are tanks within the boat that are used to store live fish after they are caught.
