Visit the Royal Meteorological Society's education portal (Metlink.org). This website is home to activities and information for children, teenagers, and teachers. The MetLink offers word-searches, puzzles, and other engaging games to help children learn about English weather. Though geared toward the education of schoolchildren, much of its information will also be useful to interested adults who would like to broaden their knowledge of English weather.
Visit the Weather Channel's UK-specific site (UK.Weather.com). This site would be a good first stop for any travelers interested in learning about English weather during an upcoming trip. The Weather Channel charts current conditions and weather forecasts for nearly every city, town, and village in the United Kingdom. Forecasts include daily, 10-day, monthly, and seasonal outlooks.
Visit the Met Office, the UK's official weather service (Metoffice.gov.uk). This site is a treasure trove of statistics, charts, graphs and overviews of British history as related to weather. For instance, this is where to find the highest temperature recorded in Oxford during February of 1854, or the average maximum temperature in July over a thirty-year period. For those seeking specific figures or information, the Met Office should be the first place to check.
