Instructions

    • 1

Stir together two parts white glue to one part warm water in a bowl. This is your basic glue solution (or use Mod Podge).

    • 2

Blow up the balloon to the desired size of your Earth. You can balance it on an empty paint can or a jar.

    • 3

Tear up several long strips of old newspapers. Each strip should be about 1/2 to 1 inch wide.

    • 4

Coat the strips in glue, using a brush or your fingers and apply onto the surface of the balloon. Continue applying strips until the entire balloon is covered. Apply multiple layers of strips for added durability.

    • 5

Let the papier-mâché dry overnight. Decorate the Earth using paint or markers.
