How to Find a Game Warden in Maine

Game Wardens have been a feature in the state of Maine since 1880. Maine Warden Services has over 130 members in bureaus covering the state of Maine, acting both law enforcement, and intermediaries in fish and wildlife issues between public and animals.       Phone them. Maine's Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife has five different toll-free numbers to call, all 24 hours a day. Reach the dispatch centers in Augusta at 800-452-4664, Gray at 800-228-0857, Houlton at 800-924-2261, Orono at 800-432-7381 and Dover-Foxcroft at 800-432-7372. Call the center nearest to you. Contact the regional headquarters daytime number in Ashland at 207-435-3231, Gray at 207-657-2345 and Greenville at 207-695-3756.

      Travel directly to their offices. The regional offices are located in Gray at 358 Shaker Road, Sidney at 270 Lyons Road, Bangor at 650 State St., Greenville at 18 Village St. and Ashland at 63 Station Hill Road. Go to the main Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife office in Augusta at 284 State St. Arrive on time as the offices hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

      Email or fax the offices if you feel there is no emergency, but you still need to find a warden. Search the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife online services on their website.
