How to Recycle Plastic Triangles

Plastic is one of the most prevalent materials in the world today. It can be formulated to create almost anything from prosthetic limbs to automotive body kits. Plastic triangles are commonly used on billiard tables to rack up the balls and prepare for a game. Smaller plastic triangles may also be used to create strap lugs in sewing projects. Though these items are unique in appearance and function, they should be recycled in the same way as any piece of plastic.

Instructions

    • 1

Check the condition of your plastic triangle. It it is free of cracks and warping, you may be able to offer it to a friend or family member for reuse.

    • 2

Place the triangle in the recycling receptacle provided by your city or your waste management service. This small rectangular receptacle is usually yellow or blue depending on where you live.

    • 3

Locate a local recycling center using Earth 911 or a similar database. These centers are a great alternative if you have many plastic items to recycle or your city does not offer a curbside recycling service.

    • 4

Bring the plastic triangle, along with any plastic items you need to recycle, to your local recycling center.
