How to Learn About the Threatened & Endangered Animals of New Jersey

Man's continued growth and expansion has an unprecedented impact on the nation's wildlife and the habitats they depend on to live and breed. This is particularly evident in New Jersey, a state with incredible wildlife diversity, but also an exceptionally large population for its size. Of the 500 wildlife species found in the state, 73 are currently listed as endangered or threatened. Learn more about New Jersey's threatened and endangered wildlife at the websites of the state's Endangered and Nongame Species Program and the Conservation Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey, two of the many partners dedicated to protecting these species for future generations.
