Soy Candles
Soy candles use a soy-based wax, as opposed to a paraffin-based wax. The main benefit to soy candles is that soy wax burns at a cooler temperature than paraffin wax, which ensures a longer burn time. Soy candles are also completely non-toxic when burned, whereas paraffin wax candles release several toxins when burned, including toulene and benzene. In addition, soy wax is water soluble and can be easily wiped clean if spilled.
Soy Beverages
Soy beverages are generally produced by soy beans that are ground, then strained. Soymilk is a good source of protein and B vitamins, and can be sold as a liquid or powder. Soy beverages can also be a good source of calcium and contain zero fat, though flavored soy drinks are usually high in sugar.
Soy Meat Products
Soy protein is a common food substitute for animal protein and is available in a variety of forms. Soy meat substitutes include soy hamburgers, turkey, chicken and even soy seafood. Soy meat substitutes can be cooked as easily as their meat counterparts, and some are available in a variety of flavors.
Soy Cleaners
Soy cleaning products are alternatives to traditional cleaning products, many of which contain small amounts of chemicals harmful to humans, animals and the environment. Soy cleaners are entirely natural, less likely to cause irritation in humans and animals and are also non-flammable. Soy cleaning products come in a variety of types including paint removers, adhesive removers, soy septic treatments, bathroom and kitchen cleaners and oven cleaners.
