How to Mix a Water & Sugar Solution for Hummingbirds

Hanging a hummingbird feeder in your yard could help save the species! Hummingbirds are threatened by climate change, which affects their migratory patterns and sometimes makes food hard for them to find. Fortunately bird lovers across the Western Hemisphere -- the hummingbird's habitat -- are providing bird feeders in their gardens. This can bring hours of entertainment for humans and much-needed food for the hummingbird. Hummingbirds eat frequently, and they consume a large quantity, preferring sap, pollen, nectar and bugs. You can replicate the first three items by providing a water-and-sugar solution in your hummingbird feeder.
