Instructions
Direct an Internet browser to the NOAA webpage (see Resources). Enter in your zip code or address to pull up the most current weather conditions. Download a "Basic Worksheet" for the Sky and Sun monitoring station (see Resources).
Fill in the worksheet using the information on the NOAA weather page for your area. For example, there are sections for UTC, air pressure, precipitation, air density, vapor and UV Red and Green indexes. Transcribe the information from the NOAA website to the worksheet.
Turn on the Sky and Sun Monitoring Station and wait for the unit to go to the default numeric readings.
Turn the bottom dial to the "Calibrate" setting. This is a large white dial in the center-bottom of the unit. Using the dials for each individual setting, enter the information from the worksheet to the monitor. Use the worksheet first as this places the information the unit needs in the precise order it will ask for the inputs, making it easy to keep track of the needed information and data.
Set the dial to your needs once the data is entered for your location. The unit makes its calculations based on the calibrated and specific regional data inputted from Steps 1 through 4.
