How to Remove Rubbish on Beaches

Rubbish does not only make beaches look unpleasant, it harms the coastal environment. People suffer ear, nose and gastric infections because of sea and lake pollution. Sharp fragments of broken glass, plastic and metal cause cutting injuries on beaches. Abandoned fishing equipment in the sea injures marine animals, which die when they eat or become trapped in rubbish. Removing rubbish on beaches is one way you can help reduce pollution and the damage it does.
