Identification
Wind farms, also known as wind power plants, are an assembly of windmills or wind turbines. These turbines use three rotating blades to transform wind power into electricity.
Pros
Energy generated from wind farms is a form of renewable, clean energy. Wind energy doesn't require the use of fossil fuels or pollute the environment with greenhouse gasses. Wind farms are also known to produce inexpensive energy, which costs between 4 and 6 cents per kilowatt-hour.
Cons
Wind farms may interfere with television reception in nearby homes. The farms also tend to be loud, contributing to noise pollution. Additionally, the land available for such energy generation may be expensive or in remote locations, making some wind farms inconvenient.
