How to Use LA Crosse Wireless Weather Station With a Wireless Router

LA Crosse weather stations provide progressive weather forecasting. Connect a wireless weather station to a gateway to produce instant weather updates on a digital display. Things You'll Need

  • Digital display
  • Wireless gateway
  • Local area network cable
  • AC gateway adapter
  • 3 "C" alkaline batteries

Instructions

    • 1

      Insert three "C" batteries in the digital display. Turn the device face down to access the battery compartment. Remove the door and following polarity indicators, insert the batteries. Replace the compartment door. Place the display in a highly visible location.

      Connect the gateway to a router LAN port. Insert one end of the LAN cable into an open router port. Insert the other end where indicated on the gateway.

      Attach the AC adapter to the gateway. Insert the small end where indicated on the gateway and plug the adapter into an electrical outlet to power up the device.

      Register an account at the Weather Direct website (see Resources). Follow the online wizard for account setup. When prompted, press the gray button on the gateway to register the device.

      Install the gateway a maximum of 330 feet from the wireless display. A wireless signal icon shows signal strength and if the devices are in proper communication range.

      Select the "Mode" key located on the top of the device to select displayed forecasts. Options include Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Night. Refer to the owners manual for more information. Forecasts are continuously updated via the gateway.
