Collect your data. Before you can create your bar graph, you will need to collect the percentages you would like to compare in your graph. Organize the percentages in a chart in comparison with the other data. This will help you in the plotting process.
Define the x and y axis for your chart. The y axis will run vertically up the far side of your graph and will display the numbers in percentages. The x axis will be the individuals, groups, or ideas you want to represent as a percentage. The x axis runs horizontally along the bottom of the graph.
Draw the scale for your bar graph. With percentages, it might be helpful to draw the y axis in increments of five percent.
Input your data. Draw a bar that is the height according to the percentage for the y axis. You should have as many bars as you have y axis items.
