How to Determine a Yearly Salary

It's important to know your yearly salary in situations such as applying for a loan, credit card or even a new job. Unless you are on a set yearly salary, you may not know how much you make in a year or know how to figure it out. However, as long as you know your hourly wage, you can determine your yearly salary.

Instructions

    • 1

Determine your hourly wage. If you are unsure, you can find the information on your most recent check stub. For example, you may earn $10 per hour.

    • 2

Multiply your hourly wage by the number of hours you work in a week to determine the weekly salary. For example, a 40-hour workweek multiplied by $10, equals a weekly salary of $400.

    • 3

Multiply the weekly salary by 52, which is the number of weeks in a year. In this example, multiply 400 by 52 to get a yearly salary of $20,800.
