How to Determine a Personal Number in Numerology

Numerology is an ancient system which uses the numbers associated with a person's birthday in order to determine lucky days, and times which are good for change. Numerologists can also use birth dates, along with potential dates and times of a planned event--a wedding for example--to determine which day will be the most positive for the people involved. According to Numerology, there are three types of personal numbers which are important for every day knowledge.

      Calculate your Personal Year Number

Add the year of your last birthday to 10 and 1. Example: 10+1+2009. This equals 2020. Now add 2+0+2+0, for a total of 4. Your Personal Year Number is 4.

Like the Personal Year Number, this number can be calculated for each month, and will give you an idea of what the month will bring. Start with your Personal Year Number above, add the number of the month you wish to do the numerology on.

Example, if your Personal Year Number is 4, and the month is December, you add 4+12 for a total of 16. Now add 1+6, for a Personal Month number of 7.

Add your Personal Year Number, Personal Month Number, and the number of the day to find your Personal Day Number. Example to figure the Personal Day Number for December 10, using the Personal Numbers above: 4+7+10 =21. Now, 2+1=3. Your Personal Day Number for December 10, 2010 is 3.
