Instructions
Soak your stones in a mixture of 1 gallon of water and 1 tablespoon of salt for 24 to 48 hours. Expose the mixture to sunlight or moonlight while soaking. Check the water after the first 24 hours to see if it dirty or murky. Remove the stones when the water is dirty or murky and rinse them in running water.
Lay your labradorite stones on a bed of rock salt for 24 to 48 hours. Check the stones frequently to see if the salt is causing them to turn dark instead of making them shinier. Remove the stones from the salt if the darkening occurs of after 48 hours.
Bury your stones in your choice of sand, garden soil, loam or clay for a period of at least 24 hours. Remove them from the sand and rinse them in running water. Bury the stones again and repeat the process if they do not become as clean as you desire. This method is known to be slow and could take weeks or even months.
Run the stones under running water or in a running stream to dissolve any light dirt or dust. Allow water to run over the stones for as long as it takes to clean them to your desired level of cleanliness. Arrange your stones in a place where they will be exposed to natural air and allow them to air dry.
