How to Care for Marcasite in Pop Rocks

Marcasite, an element in Kansas Pop Rocks, becomes poisonous after exposure to oxygen. Over time, the rock will produce a powdery substance called sulfuric acid, which is poisonous when ingested or placed on the skin. Kansas Pop Rocks also known for their energy healing properties, but because of the marcasite, care must be taken when using these stones to make a gem elixir. The double container method is recommended when charging water with Kansas Pop Rock energy. This method allows you to utilize the vibrations from the stones while they don't come into direct contact with the water.

Instructions

    • 1

Locate a sunny spot to assemble the double container elixir.

    • 2

Place two pop rocks in the ½-pint glass jar and seal the lid tightly. Put the sealed jar inside the 2-pint glass jar. Keep your mind clear and focused on the energy or purpose for the elixir. Negative thoughts will taint the pureness of the elixir.

    • 3

Fill the 2-pint jar with distilled water until it covers the smaller jar and reaches the top. Place the lid on the 2-pint jar. Lay six pop rocks around the 2-pint jar. Allow it to sit in the sunlight to charge for four hours.

    • 4

Pour the charged elixir into a blue or brown glass bottle that has an eye dropper lid, until the bottle is half full. The eye dropper lid allows for easy removal of the elixir.

    • 5

Pour vodka or vinegar into the brown or blue glass bottle to fill the other half. Elixirs are one part charged water and one part alcohol or vinegar. The alcohol or vinegar preserves the vibrations from the stones.

    • 6

Use the elixir by placing drops under the tongue, rub on pulse or chakra points, spray a room or yourself to cleanse the aura or use in bath water.
