Minelab SD2100 Specifications

Similar to a Minelab metal detector, the Minelab SD2100 was designed in 1996 to detect the presence of gold. As one of the first detectors to use multiperiod sensing (MPI), it has the capability to identify gold nuggets located deeper in the ground when compared to previous models.
  1. Coils

    • The Minelab SD2100 accommodates the 8-inch and 18-inch monoloop round coils as well as the 11-inch double-D coil. The size of the coil correlates to the size of gold nugget that it can detect.

    Controls

    • A small screwdriver comes with the SD2100 to make adjustments to the tune and tone controls. These controls are adjusted by the number of turns made with the screwdriver. The tune control has 15 complete turns while the tone turns one complete circle. The balance control turns 10 complete rotations, the threshold only once, and the search control has two positions. The balance, threshold and search features have knob-style controls.

    Audio and Power

    • Equipped with a headphone jack, the SD2100 requires the use of a headset to hear the signals of the detector. The 6-volt battery lasts approximately 16 hours.

    Size and Weight

    • The length of the SD2100 measures between 1.1 and 1.3 meters. It weighs approximately 2.4 kilograms.
