Instructions

    • 1

Talk to people in your area about locations of old Native American campsites.

    • 2

      Locate the camp area.

    • 3

Get the landowner's permission to go onto the property and look for arrowheads.

    • 4

Look in new, plowed fields close to a creek or stream, or along a creek bed after a big rain.

    • 5

Look for a spot in a camp area with many rock chips or flakes. This could be where Native Americans sat and worked on new arrowheads. Sometimes you can find broken arrowheads in this spot.

    • 6

Sit and look closely at rocks in one area.

    • 7

Look for pointed rocks or odd rocks with chip marks.

    • 8

Leave the area clean, close all gates, and do not drive your vehicle on pasture unless you have permission to do so.
