Instructions
Locate a suitable computer program for calculating bullet trajectory that takes into account all three factors: temperature, altitude and humidity. Many programs are available free of charge.
Determine the bullet's weight, length, caliber and ballistic coefficient as well as the velocity of the bullet, the barrel twist and its direction. This information can often be obtained from the manufacturer of the gun and bullets.
Determine the height of the sight above the barrel (sight height) and the angle of the firearm horizontally (muzzle elevation) when fired.
Determine the ambient temperature, height above or below sea level and humidity. In addition, you need the wind speed and direction.
Input all of the information into your calculation program. Some calculators are very precise and may require more information.
