Installation of Separate Reactors on an Electric Circuit

Reactors for electrical circuits form the crucial power source for energizing devices such as circuit-breaker panels. Installing separate reactors is done to create physical space to avoid overheating and to create a more efficient electrical environment. You can install electrical reactors for circuit-breaker panels with a few short steps.

Things You'll Need

  • Cable
  • Ground wire
  • Screwdriver or drill with screwdriver bit
  • Two neutral wires
  • Hot wires

Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the power for the reactor. Insert the cable from the electrical circuit into the breaker panel. Most homes have only one breaker panel available.

    • 2

Connect the ground wire to the electrical circuit, then screw it on tightly with the drill.

    • 3

Wrap the white neutral wire around the circuit and insert it into the reactor. Repeat this with a second neutral wire to the other reactor.

    • 4

Insert the hot wires into the remaining two slots in the reactors, placing one into each reactor. The metal U-clips will hold the wires in place.

    • 5

Switch on the power to the circuit. The reactors should now operate normally on the electric circuit.
