Instructions
Place a DC-powered buzzer on the floor outside a room, next to the door frame where the hinges are located. Turn the buzzer over. Loosen the screws at each end of the buzzer using a Phillips screwdriver.
Run a utility knife four inches in between the outer sheath of the electrical cable at the center. Pull the two wires apart from each other. Strip 1/2 inch of insulation off the ends of each wire with a wire stripper. Repeat this entire procedure at the other end of the electric cable.
Wind the end of the plus-labeled wire at the end of the electrical cable around one of the plus-labeled screws on the buzzer. Tighten the screw with the screwdriver. Wind the end of the other wire that is at the same end as the one just wound around the other screw on the buzzer. Tighten the screw.
Tape the buzzer to the baseboard against the wall with a strip of duct tape. Run the electrical cable across the baseboard of the wall until you come to another room, for example, the den. Staple the electrical cable to the baseboard using staples.
Strip 1/2 inch off both ends of the 10-inch electrical wire with a wire stripper. Insert one of the two ends of the 10-inch electrical wire into the minus-labeled clip on the battery pack.
Turn the push button over. Loosen the screws that are at each end of the button with the screwdriver. WInd the free end of the 10-inch electrical wire around one of the two screws. Tighten the screw. Wind the free end of the electric wire from the electrical cable around the other screw and tighten it down.
Insert a battery into the battery pack. Press and hold in on the push button to make the remote buzzer that is at a distance from you sound off. Release the push button to silence the buzzer.
