Instructions
Write an introduction for your report that provides a brief overview of the experiment and its significance. Briefly mention any previous research on your topic and end the section with your hypothesis.
Title the second section of your report "Procedure" and explain how you conducted the experiment, outlining your procedure step-by-step. List the exact temperatures and concentrations of any solutions as well as all equipment used. Make sure you give enough details so that you or someone else could duplicate your process and results exactly.
Label the third section "Results" and present your findings in paragraph form, using charts and graphs if necessary. Be sure your comments are accurate and based on the information gathered, even if your results are totally different from your hypothesis. Do not discuss your results in this section; simply present them.
Name your fourth section "Discussion." In this section you must analyze your results and interpret them. List any errors that occurred or problems you faced while conducting the experiment and how these may have affected the outcome.
Title your final section "Conclusion." This section lists the significance of your findings. It may make recommendations concerning further directions of study on your topic. It should also provide a final summary.
