Size
In addition to simplicity, diode detectors are much smaller than some of the other forms of envelope detectors. This doesn't necessariliy translate into a lower price point, but it does mean that you use the diode detector on your electrical or dosage delivery system with minimal likelihood of having to make equipment modifications for the detector to fit.
Sensitivity
Diode detectors have the ability to measure items more sensitively than larger envelope detectors. Detectors measure items like incoming current or signal or, in the case of medical use of nuclear dosage, built-up medicine in the system and proper dose per signal.
Ease of Calibration
The consequence of the stability found in a diode detector is the simplicity with which scientists can calibrate the device. This means that errors are less likely to take place once the device has been set up. In both medicine and electricity, ease of calibration is a must.
Durability
Because of their small size and simplicity of construction, diode detectors last longer than other forms of envelope detectors. This will cut your organization's cost of replacement over time, and it will also ensure that the rest of your equipment works effectively, improving overall organizational quality and performance.
